Complicité’s work is what it is because of international exchange, conversations and collaborations since its foundation, and it continues to be at the heart of Complicité’s practices. The Company has played in more than 40 countries. We love travelling the world to share how the Company creates and devises theatre, with students and theatre professionals alike. With our workshops and residencies we have worked with participants of all ages and levels of experience.

The foundation of our workshops is to build an ensemble through physical training and play. We share games and exercises that have grown from Complicité’s rehearsal rooms, rooted in devised, ensemble and collaborative theatre practices. This work will increase participants’ awareness and sensitivity to the communicative power that lies in the relationship between the performer’s body, movement, theatrical space and physical expression. We will then explore how to use this work as a creative tool to tell rich, imaginative stories to audiences. Our workshops create and hold space where we can push the limits of artistic experimentation, which has always been key to the Company’s vision.

The workshops can be anything from one day to longer intensives or multi-week residencies. In collaboration with you we tailor these workshops to the skill levels, interests and intentions of your groups.
