Lizzie Hewitt is a dance artist with a diverse background in community work, education, and inclusive dance. Now based in Gloucestershire, she has over a decade of experience teaching, choreographing, and engaging with communities through dance.

A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, she has led projects in New Zealand, the UK, and Australia, focusing on children with learning disabilities, adults new to dance, and facilitating inclusive, therapeutic workshops.

Her professional journey extends into healthcare and wellness, where she combined her expertise in physical rehabilitation and soft tissue therapy to support patients recovering from injuries or managing long-term conditions.

In addition to her work in the performing arts, Lizzie has taken on roles in charity and community services. As Head of Operations at The Music Works, she led operations, HR, and developed a successful volunteer programme that enhanced the organisation’s inclusivity and diversity.

Her work with the NHS, in partnership with the Asian Resource Centre of Croydon and the Croydon BME Forum, focused on addressing healthcare inequalities. As a Health Inequalities Programme Coordinator, she led outreach initiatives and developed culturally tailored health education programs, particularly for South Asian communities. Lizzie also spearheaded efforts to address misinformation about vaccines, educate about cancer symptoms and causes and diabetes prevention in underserved populations.

Her dedication to fostering equity in both health and the arts demonstrates her commitment to social justice, inclusion, and community well-being.
