Figures in Extinction 2025
In February 2025, the third and final work in the collaboration between our Artistic Director Simon McBurney and Choreographer Crystal Pite will have its world premiere.
Netherlands tour dates have been announced, with UK dates to follow shortly.
Over a span of four years, the two world-renowned artists will have created three works together for NDT 1, each developed in response to the last.
The award-winning Figures in Extinction [1.0] (2022) confronts us with everything that is dying on our planet, while Figures in Extinction [2.0] But then you come to the humans (2024) is a searing examination of our need for connection in a separated world.
In 2025, we will bring the first two works together for the first time, and continue this cross-disciplinary exchange with a third piece; offering a spark in the darkness as to where we – collectively, spiritually, and imaginatively – might go next.
