Higher Education
Complicité’s workshops for students in higher education provide training in Complicité’s ensemble and devised theatre practices that encourage the process of creating theatre with a physical impulse, allowing text and words to come from physical action. We allow a natural, physical play to develop and then create a story from there, rather than starting from a script. We support the class to develop a deeper understanding of the communicative power that lies in the relationship between the performer’s body, movement, theatrical space and physical expression. Which we believe will make the creative work richer. And explore how this may be incorporated into the development of their own artistic output.
Our collaboration with Universities and Academies can be anything from one day to a series of workshops taking place across a term that are tailored to the students’ modules.
This work is led by our experienced Complicité Associates, supported with online access to Complicité productions and accompanying written resources.
Our Associates are also available to direct public performance pieces for this age group.
