Masterclasses
The roots of Complicité’s work can be traced back to the training of its members, many of whom studied at the Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris. It has had a profound influence on the Company’s approach to theatre making and is at the heart of the Company’s Masterclasses.
Our practice lies in devising and collaboration, and we encourage playfulness, risk taking and willingness to fail.
Twice a year Complicité holds open Masterclasses in London led by a key Associate and focusing on a specific topic. These three-day Masterclasses are open to performers and artists who are interested in refreshing their practice or exploring a new avenue. Past Masterclasses have covered the Satirical Clown, Making Space, and The Story Through Sound Design.
